<5547a085> I feel like large swaths fanboys are being triggered
<8f79fcda> He won’t run
<8f79fcda> For office
<8f79fcda> And I’m glad they triggered ones are triggered
<8f79fcda> We need a new magnate
<8f79fcda> Not Jamie dimon
<5547a085> He may not run, but hes publicly vocal enough to have a lot of influence
<5547a085> I’m impressed by the early starlink reports
<8f79fcda> Haven’t seen them
<8f79fcda> Anything interesting?
<5547a085> Its just neat, a very good internet backbone option: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink>
<5547a085> To be able to download a full BTC node back to genesis block using Blockstream satellite + Starlink (or some other satellite internet service, its about $350/6GB throttle) this is a robust solution for an apocalypse-grade denial of internet service
<5547a085> It might bring semi-decent broadband level bandwidth via satellite down to $100/2-3GB
<5547a085> Theres cellular as an option too, but satellite can’t be tracked by an ISP the way wired or cellular networks are; so its a boon from a privacy perspective as well
<5547a085> A cellular network would be susceptible to power grid failures, but satellite will broadcast continuously and can be picked up by any dish/network connected to a generator or solar panels, for example
<5547a085> I’ve been thinking that the gas and oil producers that are getting into crypto mining would pair well as customers for a connectivity service using these methods; I even read about a nuclear provider in france that is making $50k/day crypto mining.
