<7d56dcb3> unless he plans to utilize the factories in mexico, this is highly improbably.
<8f79fcda> me neither but if you stare long enough you might be able to understand lol
<7d56dcb3> the economic boom would be great for the region, but the infrastructure and development just aren’t there.
<7d56dcb3> it would have to be either near san antonio or dfw, like all the other car manufacturers.
<8f79fcda> 5 blocks left
<7d56dcb3> oh damn i’m actually awake… lol nice…
<8f79fcda> under usmca it would be a boon to both US and Mexican Relations and our on/near-shore mfg capabilities
<8f79fcda> one of the conditions of usmca is parity between workers in mexico and the us (and canada but canada sucks)
<7d56dcb3> auto manufacturing needs suppliers and logistics…
<7d56dcb3> existing infrastructure…
<8f79fcda> we’ll see – they are building rockets in brownsville so what are the real infra hurdles?
<21c2e595> <@U2S98EDNK> where do you live?
<7d56dcb3> dallas
<773ab1f1> Dude come up to the meetups someday. We do it every Friday.
<7d56dcb3> in austin or dallas?
<9e126bf3> Dude the valley is booming. I’m actually here now, in McAllen. Wise for companies to grow roots here, especially while real estate is still dirt cheap and especially while the NPCs are in panic mode
<21c2e595> oh i thought u far away since u said you were up at 2pm lol
<21c2e595> oh ya <@U03694HFD> <@U07MMSG8M> and others. i got the first btc meetup page admin recently. we should figure out something to do with it.
<9e126bf3> First btc meetup page? Like the yamamushi one or what?
<21c2e595> yessir!
<21c2e595> i miss yamamushi. where is that guy!?
<21c2e595> first one was sat may 18th 2013. spider house days if you recall
<7d56dcb3> booming from what though?
<7d56dcb3> there was a pretty big commercial boom about 5 years ago, but lately, it’s been pretty quiet.
<7d56dcb3> as in, i didn’t really see any new commercial developments the last 2-3 years that i’ve visited.
<7d56dcb3> but about 5-10 years ago, farms were getting turned into strip malls left and right…
<773ab1f1> Dallas
