(*b36962f9*):: Went to gnc to get some probiotics and saw this bullshit
(*b36962f9*):: The colors strain my eyes
(*54b3f3ac*):: Lol
(*b36962f9*):: Reminds me of the weed stores
(*54b3f3ac*):: Is kombucha’s really good as well. Also a high quality yogurt. Sour kraut and fermented stuff is also very high and probiotics

(*b36962f9*):: Ya I’ve been eating yogurt for some. I figure I’ll give this kind a chance and see if I notice a diff over the next month
(*54b3f3ac*):: Yeah I just don’t trust GNC for some reason

(*54b3f3ac*):: Keifer, not keeper
(*54b3f3ac*):: Man you should just do keeper and natural foods to get probiotics. A lot of those are synthetic c***.
(*b36962f9*):: My current stack
(*4e3d9761*):: Looks good! So the name of the game with protein consumption is ‘always keeping some in your blood stream’. Your body doesn’t have a way to store protein, it just exists in your blood for 3-4 hours (a bit longer with big meals of red meat, due to digestion). If you find a gap where you go six hour without food, put a protein shake in there.
(*4e3d9761*):: Not all protein’s are created equal! You want Whey protein (animal product, yours looks fine). Stay away from plant proteins and collegen proteins, as both of those are less effective.

(*b36962f9*):: That’s what I’ve been doing. Especially with intermittent fasting. First meal is eggs & bacon around 11.
(*b36962f9*):: Ya I got the protein Gary recommended
(*4e3d9761*):: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=jeff+nippard+protein Jeff Nippard has a ton of nerd videos going over protein. There is some scientist in the netherlands who is the world expert, I just can’t remember his name right now.
(*4e3d9761*):: It’s really not as complicated as they make it. You should keep protein in your blood stream and eat a lot of it. It should come from animal sources. It should be the star of your plate every meal. ~1/3rd to 1/2th of the plate.
(*4e3d9761*):: Not all proteins digest the same or provide the same nutrition. Protein shakes are like a shot of protein straight to your blood, but provide no other nutrition. Eggs go straight to your blood to due to easy digestion, but also don’t stick around in your blood all day. Yet again, red meat is the big winner here. Red meat provides protein PLUS a buncha other vitamins your body requires. It digests slower than most forms of protein and is optimal anytime, but most optimal right before bed, to keep protein in your blood all night, due to slow digestion.
(*b36962f9*):: Ivy drip protein :syringe:
(*4e3d9761*):: Theres bro-science (Rich Piana, body builder types) and nerd-science (jeff nippard and the like ‘studies show’ etc). Neither one of them are completely right and there is something to learn from both of them. The nerds tend to get lost in meaningless details at the expense of the greater picture. The bros have some hardwon lessons born from experience.
(*b36962f9*):: What is y’all’s cardio looking like?
(*b36962f9*):: Thx
(*4e3d9761*):: The name of the game is mastering the relationship between food, sleep and training. Sleep is easy, get enough of it. Food and training takes a bit more experience. You should know what it feels like when your muscles are ‘hungry’. You should know what carb to grab if you want to receive max nutrition (taters for me!) You should know that eggs in the morning without meat will only keep you full for 3-3.5 hours, a bit longer if you add bacon or a sausage patty. You should know a full meal with salmon is a bit less hardy than one with salmon+red meat. You should be able to sit down and eat a meal and say ‘that was or wasn’t enough nutrition for X activity’. It works best for me if I perceive food like a drug. You feel it hit your bloodstream and see how agreeable it is with you. Your body will tell you.
(*4e3d9761*):: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRehf1L231Q Heres the protein guy. Dr. Jorn Trommelen . This hour is more than you will ever need to know about protein, some of the most cutting edge knowledge that exists. I enjoy learning this stuff, but if you find it overly complicated, I agree.

(*b36962f9*):: Going to get blood work up done and cholesterol check sometime soon
(*b36962f9*):: +public!

(*54b3f3ac*):: i thought there was something about whey that was terrible for you. i dontnrecall atm what it was but i dont fucks with it anymore. i try to get all my shit from foods
(*b36962f9*):: What are y’all’s end of the year fitness goals?

(*b36962f9*):: +public!
(*b36962f9*):: +public!
(*b36962f9*):: What is y’all’s cardio looking like?
(*b36962f9*):: +public!
(*4e3d9761*):: I’m at 214 which is basically as big as I get without some serious force feeding. I’d like to see 220lbs but I’d really have to pick up on the eating. I’d also like to do more cardio. I really wish it would cool down outside because I want to find an outside cardio hobby.
(*54b3f3ac*):: walking/hiking has been great. i think its oine of if not the best exercise. especially hijking with altitude changes.
(*4e3d9761*):: I’m happy to get to the gym three times a week. (Sometimes I only make it twice.)
(*4e3d9761*):: I have been working on my shoulders more. I injured my left shoulder a few years back and it scared me away from shoulder exercising. I’ve been doing dumb bell lateral raises with 5-10lbs. I’m always a use lighter weigh guy, but especially on shoulders.
(*54b3f3ac*):: and if you do it in the morning before you eat in the middle of fasting it helps alot. especially to lose weight
(*54b3f3ac*):: i going to get back into rock climbing. awesome ardio and core exercise. the climbers in the gyms are some of the most fit guys ive ever seen. and they arnt big at all. theres a nice gym by central mareket im going to start going too. thats for monthly. year end i want to be around my current weight but less fat content and just have a consistent fitness schedule
