The kid thing is the real price tag. K-12 per-student spending across the US averages $15-22K depending on the state. Two kids = $36K gone before they even graduate. That’s the big one.

So if temps had to buy their own services instead of having them subsidised by general tax revenue… the invoice would basically double what most of them currently pay in taxes. No wonder the system prefers a class that pays in but doesn’t fully consume. :watermelon:
