However, it shows that >60% of all new cases are unvaxed. 40% is not that good for the vax, but 60 is still >40.

The question now is, of the new cases, who is more likely to be hospitalized and/or die. Ive heard that vaxed cases are much milder. But Ive not heard that unvaxed cases are not also mild which is quite possible. In any case, youd have to couple the potential difference of health risk between vaxed and non-vaxed infection with the 20% increased protection from the vax, and then weigh that against the health risks of receiving the vax. That last bit we wont know the full extent of for a while.
