<9e126bf3> One thing that is crazy- people keep referencing the Spanish Flu as what would happen if we don’t kill our economy. But I realized something- 100 years ago, there were no antibiotics. And the vast majority of people died from a secondary bacterial pneumonia that would develop in the context of that influenza infection. So basically, the vast majority of those people would not have died with today’s medicine. Sort of like how the bubonic plague killed 1/3 of Europe in the middle ages but today it is easily treatable and 100% survivable
